Guided Hiking

Hiking to the mountaintop is a thrilling and rewarding adventure that you can undertake with our guide. The ascend to the top is gradual and the incline is moderate. The view from the top is breathtaking. As you make your way up the trail, the surrounding landscape unfolds before your eyes, revealing a mesmerizing panorama of pine trees and small villages nestled afar.

Time to trek : 30-45 mins (one side)

As you make your way up the trail, the surrounding landscape unfolds before your eyes, revealing a mesmerizing panorama of pine trees and small villages nestled afar.

As you start your hike, a small temple of the village deity resting under a big tree will lead you. As you accent further, you will cross many steps that were formed for step farming by the local farmers. This trek further leads you to the mountain top which offers thick cover of pine trees and a table top structure. The pasture is ideal to sit for a long time and sip a hot cup of tea while enjoying the view. This trek can be undertaken by children and adults together. The time for an uphill trek is approximately 35-45 mins.

Kalagarh Tiger Reserve (Safari)

Kalagarh Tiger Reserve is a part of Corbett National Park situated in the Lansdowne region of Uttarakhand. When Jim Corbett Park was established in 1974, the northern region of the park was renamed as Kalagarh Tiger Reserve. It is one of the major national reserves of India. Durgadevi Gate is the closest from our property to plan your visit to the forest. One can book a jungle safari online/offline to experience the incredible biodiversity and wildlife that thrives within its boundaries. The entry into the jungle is paid and limited to prior booking only.

Kalagarh Tiger Reserve is a part of Corbett National Park situated in the Lansdowne region of Uttarakhand.Spread over an area of 300 sq km, Kalagarh Tiger Reserve is known for lush green Sal,Sheesham and other deciduous trees along with wild variety of wildlife that inhabit the region.Tourists and wildlife enthusiasts can spot animals such as leopards, monitor lizards, sloth bear, monitor lizards, chital,musk deer, bark deer and if you are lucky you could spot a Bengal Tiger basking in the sun.

Durgadevi Gate is the closest gate for jungle safari from our property.This( Durga Devi) Zone is the hill safari zone filled with wildlife beauty and adventure within the Kalagarh Tiger Reserve and at the boundary of Corbett National Park area. Located at the North-Eastern side of the reserve, this area is criss crossed by Ramganga and Mandal rivers at several places. This zone is particularly famous for sighting wild elephants and Otters at Domunda Bridge. Famous Mahsheer fish can also be seen in the river water of Durga Devi zone. Lush green forest in this range provides ample opportunity for bird watching as well.

Visitors can take Jeep safari to enjoy wildlife in the zone. Booking for the zone can be done using the official website. Durga Devi Zone is open for visitors from 15 October to 15 June and remains closed during monsoon season.(Source : https://www.corbettonline.uk.gov.in/index.html)

Folk Night (Instrumental)

Mashak, Dhol & Damund are the two primary instruments that are played by residents of village Asankhat, Uttrakhand. These instruments are a part of many religious ceremonies and other events related to birth,death & celebrations.

Mashak, is a type of bagpipe , with a single reed historically played by the people of Garhwal. Dhol & Damud are two instruments that are played together; and may be played separately They are played according to the ancient oral treatise of Dhol Sagar that lists specific rhythmic patterns for every occasion, from celebrating birth and christening to religious ceremonies, folk dramas like Pandav Lila, and death rituals.

Experience the folk tunes played by local men in the village. They come together to play these two instruments and share their culture with you. In an intimate setting of our garden we invite you to let your spirit be awakened by the timeless beauty of folk music.
